Anna's Story
Hair Republic was founded 10 years ago by Anna when she had a vision to start up her own salon to offer the best service and experience possible. Raised and living within South West London her whole life, Anna became fed up 
& discouraged working at these multinational hair salons.
Anna believed that the large chains dominating the industry were cold, impersonal conveyer-belts, churning out stylists that were not valued & that did not properly listen to clients' wishes. In this, Anna saw a gap in the market where she could build her own company which employed the very best stylists that were treated with respect and fully valued and rewarded for their hard work.
Anna truly understands that you are only as good as your team. Therefore, in conjunction with her signature consultation, which is customer-centric and focused on listening to clients, Anna believed her salon would grow to become the locals' favourite. Eventually, with the full support and backing of her husband Mike along with friends and family Anna took the plunge. She put her flat on the line, applied for a bank loan and whilst having no income trying to raise her first child she risked all to embark on her first business venture. It was from these humble beginnings opening her flagship Putney salon, employing only 1 part-time junior, with Mike doing the school runs for their child and then rushing back to work on the Reception desk things developed.
Within just one year Hair Republic had gone from strength to strength employing several staff and winning two local business awards in the process.
Presently, Hair Republic continues to flourish with its loyal client base across 3 salons and has rooted itself firmly in South West London. Anna believes that through the signature consultation & continuous staff training she has developed, the client is made to feel and look stunning. The company motto is "happiness guaranteed". It's this client happiness that Anna expects just as much today as when she serviced the very first client at Hair Republic back in 2000.
In partnership with Redken 5th Avenue, founded in 1960, Hair Republic provides clients with the world's market leading products and cutting edge technology. Redken professional products contain protein technology, a pH complementing the natural pH of the hair which is recommended exclusively by licensed cosmetologists.
To date Anna has over 25 years experience in the industry, whilst Mike has come from a marketing background. Jointly, they have built a successful and very well respected business based in South West London. They plan to further the company's brand awareness and success by expanding their portfolio to add further independent salons in the near future.
